    1. I first heard about copyright whenever I would watch sports broadcasts because they always say that it’s copyrighted so that it does not get re-transmitted without permission. My teachers in high school did mention copyright, but did not put a lot of emphasis on it.

    2. I sometimes worry about the security of my personal information online, especially my account on Facebook because I don’t want to see posts that I did not even make.

    1. I don’t remember when I first heard about copyright, but whenever I hear the word I tend to associate it with music so it must’ve started with music. My high school teachers never mentioned copyright, only plagiarism.
    2. I do worry about my personal information online because I shop and bank online and if my personal information were to get into the wrong hands, its probably going to get ugly.

1.I heard about copyright on movies and music. My high school teachers did not talk about copyright, but they just mention about plagiarism and piracy.

2.I am worry about my personal information online because they might use my identity to do bad things. Specifically in social medias such as Twitter and Facebook I did not put my location or address because it is too personal. Knowing that anyone can look at my page and having my personal information to it is really a big deal because they might use it to do bad things.

    1. The first time I have ever heard about “copyright” was probably in high school, where I was assigned book reports or research papers. I had to properly use the information and know what information I was using.

    2. On a personal note, I am worried about my information online. I learned from personal experience that I should keep my information as private as possible since two years ago, some person hacked into my bank account and achieved my personal information online. I learned from my mistake, and now I am aware that I need to keep my information protected.

  5. I first heard about copyright when it came to name brands.. I had always saw that weird symbol with the circle and the “C” in the middle.
My teachers never discussed about these symbols at school for some reason.

I am pretty worried about my personal information online because people might use my information for fraud. I set my information online to private. Some I do not because I know I would not be posting anything that could jeopardize me if someone were to look me up.

1.) I don’t remember the first time I heard about copyrights but I always see the symbol on paper when I sometimes read an article.
2.) Sometimes I do worry about what I put on social media. But I am conscience about what I put on social media and put my page on private so any one cant’t see it only friends and family.

    1. First time I had heard about copyright I would say I was in middle school. I used to do a lot of things on YouTube video wise and I always had to be careful so I wouldn’t end up with a lawsuit on my hands.

    2. I do worry about the security of my personal information online but in reality there’s nothing I or anyone can do about it if its on the internet someone knows about it and there isnt anything about having privacy.

1.) I first heard about copyright from sports and how they say it is copyrighted and that it can not be recorded and replayed without the permission of whatever organization that it is broadcasting.
2.) I am worried about my personal information online because identity theft is a big thing and they can access a lot of your stuff from online.

The first time I heard of copyright was today. My high school teacher and guardians have never taught me or informed me what this was.
I am highly aware of my social media privacy because of the fact they we are not always secure. Many more hackers are getting smarter with their technology which puts us at risk for getting hacked.

    1. I first heard about copyrights when we went over Harry Potter in class when I was in the fourth grade. The reason we were doing so because my teacher explained J.K. Rowling was a female and to ensure she got her credit she made her initials the way she did to not discourage any fans from reading her books.
    2. I did worry and still worry about the security of my personal information because it seems as if stealing someone’s identity is an easy thing to do but as I got older I realized that technology and the Internet as made many advancements and my identity is a little safer than it would have been many years ago.

    1. when I first heard about copyright I believe I was in elementary watching a movie and I read it off of the screen. My teacher explained that in order to show the movie in class she needed to first get permission because of copyrights.

    2. I often worry about my online security and privacy because I often shop online on amazon and I never feel safe entering my card number and information online. The only reason I use amazon is because many of my friends use it and nothing has gone wrong so far.

    1. The first time I heard about copyright was in elementary school, but today was the first time I truly learned what it meant. My teachers in high school very briefly talked about it in class.
    2. I do worry about the security of my personal information online because of all the stories on the news about other people’s information being taken from stores, banks, etc.

1.) I first heard about copyright when I would watch movies because they would always have that warning talking about how distribution of the movie was illegal and you would get fined and possibly sent to jail for it. My teachers in high school spoke about it a little bit but it wasn’t a regular topic. We didn’t go into a lot of depth about what it was.
2.) I do worry about the security of my personal information especially when it comes to my bank account because I’m always worried about identity theft and how people get their accounts wiped out by a stranger. So yes, I do worry about it in that way.

  14. Helen Mendoza said:

    1. I believe I first heard about copyright when I was about 7 years old maybe, I’m not quite sure. I know I would see it all the time when I would watch movies with my dad or mom. That is when I first asked what it was because of the whole piracy thing going on. I didn’t really discuss it with a teacher because I didn’t know at the time that it related to anything else other that movies and brands like in clothing or accessories.

    2. I don’t really know much about it, but I try to sometimes take it into consideration. I know that there are privacy settings on social media, but I also know that they change without notice. This being that we can not be protected even when we think we are.

    1. I first heard about copyright around the time I noticed people start to illegally download music online. My high school teachers mentioned plagiarism but the topic and issue of copyright had never been brought to our attention.
    2. I sometimes worry about the security of my personal information online, such as my bank account, but besides that I don’t post or give any personal information that can be used online.

  16. Nancy Nugent said:

    1) I do not remember exactly when the first time was that I learned about copyright. However, from what I understood about it that I leaned in high school was that it meant someone owned certain information and you are not allowed to duplicate it without permission.
    2) I do worry about the security of my personal information online up to a point because I am worried about the accessibility of important information such as, my bank account and my houses rental information. Overall I feel confident about the security of my information because I have never seemed to have an issue with it in the past, but I still try to keep my information as secure as possible.

  17. Tamarina Wendt said:

    1) The first time I ever came across “copyright” in general was when I was in elementary school and reading books was a mandatory part of my homework, so I’d see books with the copyright symbol and I’d ask what it is. My English teachers further explained it once I got to high school.
    2) I do have concerns about privacy online because, nowadays, anybody could be anybody and do anything on the internet. It’s also easy for people to hack into your accounts, hence the act of identity theft.

  18. Sihua Yan said:

    1. The first time when I heard about copyright when I was about 9 years old, because my parent tell me to don’t copy others people work, we need to do our own works. My high school did discuss about the copyright because this is important for students.

    2. I don’t really know much about it, because I don’t use computer that much and most of my times were study and have to work.
